Yep......Butters, realistically your looking at 4 min flight times, MAYBE a wee bit more.

My 500L just took a dump and I plan on buying the 1350kv Hacker. I just can't bring myself to buy a motor like the Scorpion where the bearings only last 30 flights or so.

The Hacker costs more money but I think it is a worthwhile purchase.

Hacker makes excellent motors.

Just because everyone flocked to Scorpion does not mean they are good.....just cheap.

The motor is rated to be 900W peak. I made almost 1100W peak from it (almost 55A spike).
I browsed a bit Power system discusion thread, someone wrote 1210KV Scorpion makes 1700W. That must be insane (if that is measured wattage, not from paper).
I choosed Hacker, because of the Scorpion bearings issue.
I really do not want to lube it or replace the bearings with Boca.
It would be nice, if someone buy 10S (1600KV) and Eagle Tree it.
I have choosen the safe side - bought 12S as recommended, but just thinking how well the 10S can work...
I do not regret, is is working great for my style of flight.
I was considering Kontronik miniPyro, but that is expensive, 200 Euro (but lighter!).
Next step will be mini Vbar, but first i need to learn how fly flybar, or maybe after next crash, if all the things on the main shaft will be broken, i will be considering FBL.

Edit: Butters: there is some accesory in the package, some propeller mounts and screws, the original screws are a bit too long, so use the ones you get with the motor.

Butters, you never used the stock motor?
I am asking because Scorpion 1600 should not be much more powerful then stock.
Let us know how the Hacker feels compared to Scorpion.

Sorry, not from me. 3.5mm bullets i ordered have been a bit different then stock, so i was forced to change connectors also on ESC, now i cannot plug the original motor without soldering another set.
Also i am leaving for three days with the heli (half business trip, half holiday) and after that i must return the Eagle Tree to its owner.
However if you find somewhere log with stock motor, i would be happy to see it, but i have not found any (also i was not searching much).
Shame i did not managed to do it, but hell, i do not even want to go back.

I think you can without problems, stock 60A ESC is rated 70A peak, with 12S my best spike was 55A, full pitch +12 degree slam from ground, but if you are not insane stick banger, you will not get there.
Average current consumed during my flights is about 22A.

butters you may want to stick with the 12s if you are worried about flight times as the 10s will be worse flight times but more power
