Default Losing everything!!

Ok. So I need some help here. My question is related to a trex450 sport specifically. I just figure that my problem can happen on any size so I thought I'd get more help here.

For some reason all the sudden, I lose control of everything after about a minute in flight. When I say lose control, I mean my motor goes, control goes, everything. Then after I manage to land, I gain full control again. It happened twice so I rebound the heli and it's still doing it. It happens with all my batteries so I know it's not that. Nothing has changed in my setup anywhere.

I just got a beastx and I'm about to install but now I have this problem. If anyone has any ideas, please by all means, share. I don't have a clue where to begin. If more info helps let me know what you need to know. Its basically a stock sport with a ar6110e controlled by a dx6I.

If you are able to manage a landing and try again, I figure you are not losing everything. What control do you have?

Does the heli still have power when you land? Is the light on the rx blinking indicating a brown out?

Connectors. That would be my first guess. Sounds like your loosing your entire power? No servos? no motor? Bad solder joints can do this. Broken or even shorting servo wires. Recheck ALL wiring for chaffing or bare spots from rubbing. The wires can short to the frame causing power outages....bouncing can shake them off again, until the lay back.

I have no control. The only reason I can land is cause I'm only hovering about a foot or foot and half off the ground. Luckily the first time it happened, I was only about 6 feet up and went down in tall grass. As soon as I land, I have power again. So fast that it does me know good to check the rx cause it show that it's working normally. I was kinda thinking a short somewhere to. I'm getting ready to tear it down this weekend anyways to install the beastx. I'll go over everything then but till then, I just thought I'd see what kinda suggestions I got. Thanks all fir the help and by all means, others feel free to chime in.

Hi, You might want to list in detail what electronics you use in your 450.
Also what TX you have.

What battery connectors are you using? I've been reading lately of some problems with loss of power using deans connectors if the flux has not been cleaned from the connectors after soldering. Sounds like a loose connection somewhere.

I agree with earlier posts, check your RX, it will likely be blinking.
Check the connector on your ESC, likely the culprit. It could also mean your RX is going. I had the same problem with my beastx running to a single sat antenna. The heli would lose power everything and then snap back on midflight. Ended up being the Sat RX connector

I was chasing the same type of prob on my 450. It was static in my case.

I made sure the boom, tail case and the carbon frames all made continuity( with a multimeter). After sanding off anodizing at several points to insure a good connection.
I also add a bit of furniture polish to the belt and the maingear. Never had another issue.

Funny thing. I thought it was the tx,rx or esc. Continued to do it after swapping everything out. And 3 crashes later, decided to ground everything good. Not alot of people mention static issues with the 450,mostly 500. So that was furthest from my mind.

Flew 20 packs since not one glitch.

Exactly what I was thinking was causing the short. I did put a carbon fiber tail boom on but other than that, nothing's changed. It didn't start that till after the new tail boom. Here's the problem though. I'm not exactly sure how to fix it so if some of you could be so kind as to tell me and post some pics, I'd much appreciate it.

You mind showing me with some pics, on how you "grounded" your heli?

Alot of folks run a wire from boom block to the motor mount.

Scrape down to bare metal to get a good connection. My boom block is metal so i sand the inside of it and both ends of my tail boom and the inside of the tailrotor case.(Where the boom slides in)

No wires needed (on my setup). I can get continuity from the tail rotor bearing to the motor mount and any screw on the frame. I would try to rough up just a bit, the very ends of the carbon boom with sand paper and put back together and check it with a multimeter and see.

Sorry dont have any pics.
