Default KDS 450C electronics?

Hey guys,

For those that wouldn't remember, i bought a kds 450c RTF last summer. managed to strip one of the cyclic servos before even getting this thing off ground! I also just got a dx6i so am looking at trashing the k6x transmitter that came with the RTF package.

Does anyone have any recommendations as to what route to go about this? AFAIK, an orange 8ch rx might work:

Or is it possible to shave a few $$$ off and get the 6ch version?

As for servos, well Im lost! so many 9g options: metal gear/non metal gear, digital/analog, 1.5kg/1.6kg....

Im just looking for the most bang for your buck route to getting this heli to bind to my dx6i and fly. I also managed to get a spare battery but just my luck the damn connectors aren't the same. I was told at the LHS that the KDS has old styled connectors and i should change the connections on the ESC and the older battery. Any thoughts?

Sorry for the long post, but I was a noob last summer and still am today, albeit one with a pretty nice tx now

I installed an AR6115 receiver in my 450c, fairly inexpensive receiver and work great, binds right up to the DX6i, I changed my ESC connections to E3 connectors as they are more common. PM me if you need more help on the 450c, more than happy to help.

Let me know and I can send you a spreadsheet with the settings for the DX6i.

i actually bought the heli off some guy on craigslist. smoking deal i thought at the time lol. I went up to sn hobbies to grab some parts for my mcpxs and they were pretty pricey. the kds is currently at magicbox hobbies but the guy up there actually told me to not waste anymore dough and just buy the electronics off hobbyking.
