Flymentor - DX6i - CopterX450 - CCPM Interactions
Hello World!
i just try to build up my CopterX450 (trex clone) with Flymentor.. cause this is my 1st Big Heli Buildup.. i have some trouble here.. i mainly do what is prefered in the Videos from Finless Bob ... great stuff.. thank you for this.. no i got the problem, i got some interactions on the swashplate.. so after a few researches and help from others.. i found the following thread.. https://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=71247 wich shows how to counteract... but now im at the point i stuck in a dead end street.. i tryd the whole day to get this interaction out off.. but i can make what i want.. its still there.. i tryd to adjust it, with travel adjust in my DX6i.. but the only thing i can notice, is a difference in the movement on the sticks.. not in the endpoint of the servo.. is this cause of flymentor ? and/or the missing 120° servo mix in my DX6i ? OR AM I JUST TOO STUPID ? i realy start to doubt myself.. for the notes.. i realy began like finless bob do.. center the servos, find the perfect servo servo arm with the nearly perfect angle, the fine trimming i've done with the flymentor software.. and am actually not bad at... Aile = 0 Elev = -20 Pitch = 0 Tail Servo = -10 ( not adjusted in pitch angle atm, this is just for standing 90° ) i work with a swashplate leveler and on zero pitch im actually 100% even and it seems on both directions the left servo (aile?) acts not far enough.. visualy i think it moves something like 90% of the others.. hopefully somebody can help me Best Regards ! Alex |

yeah normaly this is the way, but if i set it up without flymentor..
and adjust the endpoints with my Tx.. then i have to do it again after i build in flymentor again ? or am i wrong ? i know, normally it should be done by the mechanical way, but i have tryd all servo horns, in all postions i dont get a 90° on the left and on the rear servo.. but this shouldnt make a difference in the way the servo travels ?! it looks like the servo at full + pitch is 1mm to short.. and in full -pitch its the same in the other direction.. like 1mm to short for gettin even.. in the instructions of flymentor it says i have to configure my tx to 1servo at 90° |

Hi Ivor
There are only 2 Swash Programs in the DX6i. They are named: 1Servo90° and CCPM120 So the setting 1Servo90 is correct Thomas

Hi Alex
I installed flymentor just the way, Ivor told. The blue wire is not connected to the receiver. SO flymentor is always starting in position mode. When you want to change the gain, you have to do this in helibal-software. Balancer-Gain is set to +75

the interaction is.. at zero - everything even at full + pitch - the left servo is not high enough ( ~1mm ) at full - pitch - the left servo is not deep enough ( ~1mm ) so i think i just have to adjust the endpoint of this one servo.. ?! but maybe im wrong and made something other wrong in the progress of installing.. Ok Your interaction problem. There is no way to correct this in flymentor. This is corrected by adjusting end points in your radio. Before you started setting up all the endpoints should have been set at 100 and subtrims 100. With 50% pitch in your radio you level the swash plate by first fitting the servo arms as close to 90 degrees as possible you then adjust subtrim to get them perfect. You then adjust servo rod lenghts to level the swash. If you cannot get it perfect make small adjustments to subtrim again. You then go to 100% pitch and if the swash is not level you adjust endpoints to lower or raise any servos that are not correct. You will see the servo arm move as you change the number. Now set stick to 0% and do the same. This is the way you would normaly do it. You can not do it in flymentor. Dont worry Its a small problem. Do you have the head rotor head all built or can you still put a leveler on it?. Ivor |

I like your country very much, specially the Isle of Man. Guess the colour of my vw-bug........yes, it's british racing green
