Copilot II rudder problem?

I'm in the process of setting up a Copilot II on a Blade 400. Everything seems to work fine, and I'm now just trying to get the gain and trims set for stable operation. The only puzzling thing is that in HH mode (gain coming from CPII at 35%), and the heli armed but not spooled up, the rudder servo no longer 'creeps' over to one side like it used to. The actual operation of the rudder when you manually swing the heli sems fine though. Anyone seen this and know what causes it? And is it a problem?

Hehe, now it works as it should, it is the creeping that is wrong with the B400's stock gyro

It's still the same gyro though, just the gain setting coming from a different place, so I thought my reassuring low-rent gyro creep would still be there?

what is the best gyro to use on the blade 400 ? new to this heli and just starting to actually fly instead of hover but have had no problems with stock . but just put ali parts and some carbon would like to upgrade gyro as well. thanks

Probably because it is a lower gain setting than previous

On the Blade there is normally a certain order to upgrading the electronics. The first items would be the cyclic servos and then the gyro and tail servo.

Which combo is very much a 64K question. In theory the lowest is Futaba GY401 but this is a bit of old hack now and lacks in the 3D department.

So really it is down to budget and there are too many good ones around. I use the Align GP750+JR3500G and it works very well for me. You can also look at the Spartan Quark being one of the newest on the market and reasonably priced too.
