Default 1/4 scale Monocoupe pics, nearly finished, test flight soon,

Thought I would share these pics of my Monocoupe. I bought this airplane used last fall for about $400. It was the plane red and white and had been shelved by the previous owner for a while. I gave it a thorough lookthrough.

Had to replace muffler and rebuilt the walbro carb with new diaphrams and such. I then had some graphics made up at a local shop for about $25. The airplane is a sort of a theme calling back to the guy who used to fly a Monocoupe called "Little Butch". The Gulf logo is period correct.

I also added some things that should make it scoot through the air well, including a Bolly prop that looks all rustic from the front, when it is really a 18 x 10 carbon fiber. The black prop also matches the reall Little Butch. Engine is a 38cc Zenoah, wingspan is 8 feet.

Thanks, I flew her for the first time today. Got two flights out of her and she flew great. Have a couple of things left to tweak but mostly there. It is LOUD with the B&B pipe. Tons of elevator. For this type of plane I think I need to take some elevator out of it, as it will pop a backflip....oopps, didn't mean to do it....

The Bolly prop is a pretty fast prop too.
