Default Co Pilot Fllybarless Unit?

I love using the Co Pilot ll on my flybar helis!

I was just wondering if there are any future plans to make a Co Pilot "all in one" flybarless stabilization system? This would eliminate a lot of extra wiring if a flybarless system was integrated directly into the Co Pilot, rather than using a separate flybarless system such as a 3GX or a Microbeast.

Not even sure there is enough CPU power in the CP2 to run FBL algorithms besides the existing leveling/bailout ones. Remember, CP2 is based on a hardware which is a bit aged by now, and while bailout routines can be executed every 10-20ms or so, FBL routines need to be at least 10 times faster, so it may be impossible without changing the hardware. It's all based on my guesstimate, Tim could answer your question with more authority.

Future plans can be anything Jerry. It doesn't have to be CPII hardware. How about CPIII.

Cheers

Yes. It would have to be an entirely new unit. How about CO Pilot 3X?

Nemo, while not exactly trivial the fbl algorithms are piece of cake compared to sofisticated bailout routines that involve HD, they just need to run very fast. CPU may very well get overtaxed on the oldish CP2 hardware and same is probably true for the serial bus that would need to connect 3-axis gyro to the CPU.

I believe the thread thoughts went into a new unit (CP3?). I would also think they would design the new unit with the specs needed in mind and hopefully a little extra for improvement. I was being facetious when I made that comment as well. I do hope FMA comes out with a new FBL bailout system. FMA's products have always been top notch and work as described. I still want a lower deck though.
