Question Tail servo hard mount or not

Just wondering if it even really makes a difference on electric helis whether you hard mount or not. Just wondering what people are doing.

The reason I ask is I am trying everything under the sun to be able to up my gain. (very well balanced, logs with moderate/hard 3D are very clean) I am at about 64 in Vbar. This gets me no wag in fast funnels but is just seems a little low. At that gain the tail wonders a bit on some maneuvers.I am using a JR8900 tail servo with the 600SX tail rotor hub upgrade. (Better than stock for me) Now I will say that I am flying in about 20 deg weather here in WI and it seems that I can up the gain when it is warmer. I have adjusted the boom/belt for the temp but I does not seem to help. I have never owned a heli that liked the cold.
Now I will say that I am running my 600SX at 87 gain and only a tiny hint of wag in fast funnels at the same temp. I have not adjusted the tail for the temps I just fly that one.

I asked the question to a team mikado heli masters competitor. Without gives a little more precise /direct feeling.

So hard mount here.

Move your servo ball in and extend the endpoints. This will raise your gain.
