There are other Xbus receivers on their way, this is the only one out right now. Stock is low stateside, but it is probably still available at retailers packaged with the XG14 at the very least. More are on the way.

If you meant using the 7200BX, then no, that is a DSM2/X unit and not compatible with DMSS.

Using Xbus, a DMSS receiver is compatible with BeastX, Spartan, and Vbar right now. Skookum, as I understand, uses the satellites from the DMSS receivers much like a DSM setup would.

Thank you Tom, so it is the receiver that is not compatible and not the BeastX, makes sense

Receiver combined with the microbeast fbl gyro works on the DSMX protocol. Hence it is incompatible. DMSS works with Sk 720 and 5xx just like the DSMX sats and with Vbar and microbeast through the xbus protocol.

How sure are you? I'd be a bit cautious.

''Dual CPU: The 28X is very reliable with the dual CPU system. One is for control the transmitter and the other one is for user interface provided by the Android OS. All the critical functions will not be affected if Android OS failed.''

Interesting. So the android is a client, acting as ui of a server providing the service, ie running the radio or so they seem to imply.

What happens if the client is errant and starts making funny requests of the server?

It is after all the user interface, relaying commands to the radio.

How much of the user interface is actually run by android? Arguably sticks could be considered an input modality. Switches? Throttle hold?

This is the same Futaba did to the 18MZ, one side is the user interface, but internally it runs the radio and transmissions from propriety code. Should work really well if the implementation is done properly, which I believe JR will do.

No as Align has not yet implemented XBus functionality.

Xbus also works with the MSH Brain/iKon units too.

The SA distributor has a few winging their way here, release are scheduled for early spring in the US, so in about a months time. Japan will get it first and then the rest of the world.

Android is very stable if you get it in it's pure form. What makes it unstable is the bloat code that cellular and tablet manufacturers add by customizing it.
