"Heli Size" Option in 4.0
Georgi...
The heli size option is presented as being very important to achieve best performance of your ship. I have a G770 as you know that I run a head speed of 1750 in IU1. I could run 1800 or higher but 1750 is my chosen RPM. So from that, I should chose the "Scale - less than 1800 RPM" option and not the "1800-2200 RPM" option correct? The word "scale" has me concerned it's not a good 3D setup. I did download the 4.01 software revision....you got to luv Skookum!

=] Martin, yes I do luv em!! it's a performance setting whether the gov is used or not, so I set heli size in preference to rpm's, we can get better clarity on this later when it's more settled, keep you posted!
how them wheels doing? rockin n rollin I hope!

Thanks Georgi! Yes, the wheels on my G770 get along just fine with 4.0 just as they did with the previous version.. I spent yesterday running it up and down the street for fun...along with some flying of course...I do not want you to think I turned it into an RC car. Had a drive bolt failure last week during some flips at about 150 feet over my ever present trees. So preformed my first "real" auto, coming back over the trees into my yard which I did do but got carried away the fact I made it back and hit a higher than needed hover for landing and lost RPM at that point resulting in a hard landing that cracked one of my gear legs and bent my nose strut. It didn't roll over for which I was thankful. This gave me the chance to buy a blank sheet of carbon fiber and cut new gear legs with lines that match the curves of the fuselage side plates making the gear more attractive with the ship...so it was a "good" accident to happen. It's pretty.

Goblin 770 revised Trike gear leg photos.
Omer...If you remember the original legs they were just slightly tapered from to bottom and didn't really pick up the lines from the edges of the fuselage side plates.
The legs in the photos were cut to follow those lines which for me changes the look 100% to being more attractive on the ship. They really look like they belong. IMHO. I am really starting to accumulate some "mileage" now as every flight starts off with a couple rolling take offs and landings followed by my regular flight routine then finish with a couple more touch and goes. It's just a blast. Georgi...I have been experiencing the collective only take off to a hover, hold the hover and then land in very close to the same spot again without cyclic. That's awesome and speaks big time on the accuracy of the gyros and accelerometers. Very cool indeed.

we need to think of a name for the non-cyclic hover, I want my name on it! instead of the usual "have you done the 200% hiller decay test" to "does your heli do a georgi*******HOVER?"

You should have that honor Georgi....it has to be fun to say and capture the maneuver. I'm thinking about it...while I mow the grass.

So what you are saying is I should select "700 size" for my G770 and that would be a better match than the "Scale" selection even though I run 1750 RPM? ...still working on your name with the collective only take off to hover then landing.
