Should I start a new model on my DX6i for the EXI or just use the setting from the CP? Is it best just to start over since this is a new bird or are my setting pretty close to the CP so I can just make some adjustments as I set up?

The EXI will be my fourth model setting with 2 more to go...lol Have to love how they all work on one TX.. I know my wife likes only having one around..lol

Well flycam is on it's way and my other order is still in customs.. I'm not sure why they are taking 3 days now to get threw but maybe customs hasn't seen a charger before.. Maybe they are looking close to the charger, 2 batteries, ESC and Gyro thinking it's parts for a massive bomb...lol

An inspiring bird that drives me to learn the soft touches of the sticks and the slow movements of the bird.

Default Let the build begin..lol

You will Jonny, in good time.

Everything is here...
So what is first? ..lol I need to solder on my connectors and would like to know what gets what...lol On the ESC- It has three wires on one side and 2 on the other. The two are red and black... I'm thinking those two red and black go to the motor and the other three go to batt- right?
Need to find info on the charger since I have none and dont know what all setting are for.
So heres some pics and will get more as I go...

The 2 red and black go to the Dean's connector to the battery. The 3 connectors need bullet ends put on them for the motor.

Thanks Kronin, I just noticed the three going to the motor after looking at it.. I guess I should have looked first..
What is the three battery plug for in the first pic?

It's a little out of focus, but it looks like a balance connector. That ESC probably monitors individual cell voltage for cutoff purposes.

I'm trying to solder my connectors on but they just dont seem to want to be hooked up.. I'v watched the vids and do as said but either my iron is not hot enough or my solder sucks.. My iron is 30 watts and it should get them hot enough but the solder just balls up.. Then when I do get enough on I go to put the wire to it and the solder runs away from the wire... Anyone know what I can do to help this?
Thinking of going and buying a new iron and solder at Radio shack but would like to save money if I can.. Thanks guys..

Solder will flow to heat. Are you tinning both sides of the connection? Are you heating the tinned parts at the same time?

No just the one side. I hold my iron on the connector to let heat then with iron still on it I add solder to the dean. But the solder wont melt. Even when I touch the solder directly to the iron it takes a second for the solder to melt..

Is the tip of your soldering iron clean? if so, and it still won't melt the solder, either your iron's shot, your solder is too thick, or both. Are you using resin-core solder?
