Default Belt CP V2 - ESC Compatibility Question

I am one of the unfortunate ones that bought a Belt CP V2 with a faulty stock ESC. It burst into flames on the third day of flight training. I was fortunate enough to control the situation before any damage was done. I was extremely bummed out and immediately went into a frenzy trying find a local hobby store with a suitable replacement. I ended up coming across a Electrifly Silver Series 35A ESC that seemed to fit the bill. The patient is doing fine and the transplant seemed to be a success. I just can't get over the faster spool up and top speed this ESC seemed to bring to the works. Is this ESC safe for my Heli? I'm a bit concered about possible torque damage. Are there any horror stories out there on this one, or has it been proven to be a good pairing?

Thanks, Chris.

If its cranking up to fast then you need to reprogram the start mode in the esc to soft or very soft depending on what options there are. Did the esc come with instructions as i'm not familiar with that one.

The manual states its a plug and play ESC. The only option I have control over is the brake. I'm kinda thinking maybe I should have held off and ordered something like the Dynam 30A or the Hobbywing Pentium 30A.

The ESC can only deliver what your Lipo can dish. So I belive you are safe. Don't feel bad about the ESC, everyones caught fire or shorted out. I still have mine but I pulled it soon after reading all fires that the stocker caused.

My mind got the best of me. I went ahead and ordered the Hobbywing Pentium 30A with a programming card. Can't wait to jam with the 16 song music feature. Maybe I can use it to break my kids away from Rockband for a few seconds. I'll keep the Electrifly 35A as a backup in case of an emergency. Thanks for the replies.

Chris.
