But....$170 + $100 for the FBL head + shipping from HK = more than I want to pay.

Align 3G with head and CF blades for a Trex 500 is $324 and $309 without blades with free delivery anywhere.
Were do you find "Align 3G with head and CF blades for a Trex 500 is $324 and $309 without blades with free delivery anywhere."

This unit is also known as the "Rondo" from Pro RC (http://www.pro-rc.de/index_en.html) it only has a different program unit.

Hmm, this is a little confusing... so now it's a v3? I see HobbyKing changed the title on the product page, and a user uploaded the SJGD V3 manual... but... ?

I was a little annoyed because the SJGD V3 is now $199 from the US, which means with the Turnigy I might be stuck with a V2 for practically the same price (after shipping) and questionable upgradability. But now it seems there might be a chance the Turnigy is V3... so I'm stoked again. :o

My poor mind's on a bender; but it's left the warehouse and it's on its way from Hong Kong, so I'll get all my questions answered soon enough.

I ordered mine should be coming soon, but the manual is crazy. When you set it up if you can please write a nice summary of the set up if you can.

Thanks,

Please be aware that the Turnigy manual they have listed is not the one to use. The SGJD FS600 V3 manual is on the HK website where the Turnigy Vbar600 is listed. There are big differences between V2 and V3 especially the transmitter setup. I've been through my unit's parameters and referenced it against the two manuals. Definitely V3 is the one to use.

A big thing to worry about, is the fact that the V3 can be used on CCPM 120/135/140 machines only. No mechanical mixing anymore it seems. No Raptors can be converted R30/50/60/90.

The Turnigy manual was updated to a V3 manual yesterday; is this ok? Or is it different yet again?

Let me have a look. If you mean the Word doc where they changed the title to V3 then - no. Both the Turnigy manuals are wrong. The SJGD one is correct.
