Default Main Gear wheel misaligned with Shaft rod

Dear All,

I have come across another challenge where the main gear wheel is misaligned with the main shaft rod hole. Please check the below image.

I have learned that the two holes on the either end of the main shaft are placed at a slightly different distance from both the end, and if I am correct, the jesus bolt goes through the smaller one. If you notice the picture, you can see that the distance is more, so believe the factory guys have set up the rotor head on the other end which is supposedly to be going in the main gear wheel ?

I cannot open the main rotor head to check this as I have already stripped the feathering shaft bolt. :banghead: Refer --> [ Stripped FS Bolt ]

I am really stuck here with my heli build and I want the experts here to help me on this. *:'(

Thanks,

Ebin

Could you please rephrase ? What exactly is "too many shims up top?"

Did you mean too much free play for the main shaft moving up and down ? No, I donot think it has too much play.

Did you shim the mainshaft (small brass washers) used to eliminate up and down slop? There should be an Align logo on the shaft is it above the top bearing block or below it. I suggest you go to Finless bobs forum on here and download his build videos. They are an immense help for a first build

Dear Sebby

I got it done. There is an internal "cylinder" with the hole that has to be aligned with the main shaft hole. It was a little off the prescribed measurement.

BTW, this is not an align kit. Its a cheap 450 clone made of plastic and fiber glass
