Default training plan suggestion.

I think I can use some suggestion what to do next.
Here is my current status:

I can hover all orientation inverted.
Still working on slow inverted piro. Black outs some times
when I transition from noise left to noise out.
Can do forward loop, right roll and back flips.

My previous plan is get inverted hover all orientations. Now
it seems that invert hover is a bit boring now.
What is a good plan to learn next? The goal is make good
baby step progress towards new tricks according my levels.

Thanks

IRCHA has Pilot Proficiency Program (PPP) spreadsheets to follow. A bit out of date as I believe it was written up in the '90s, but still might be worth a look over for ideas what to try next.

http://www.ircha.org/index.php?pr=PPP_Levels

My suggestion would be funnels. Try doing tail-down and nose-down funnels. Do them both CW and CCW. Then put them together in figure8s by doing one half of the figure8 CW and transition to the other half CCW, then try one half the 8s nose-down and transition to the other half tail-down. Keep changing up orientation combos such as half the 8 upright and transition to inverted for the other half. Combine them with forward and backwards circuits to form pirouetting circuits and 8s. Eventally you can end up doing half upright transitioned to half inverted pirouetting 8s which is like stretched out piroflips. There's just a mountain of really fun orientation combos you can do with figure8s.

Thanks for the great write up. That is exactly what I am looking for.
The PPP is a good one. I don't mind it is 90's.

I can do a little bit of nose down funnels. But no tail down funnels.
The easiest way to enter tail down funnels is down backwards loops,
which I am still trying.

I find out that on MCPX using extended tail, the funnels expose the
problem that the tail is a bit too slow and easy to blow out. I need
better tail support. My parts for brushless tail is mostly ready, I will
start the brushless tail conversion pretty soon.

I find the easiest way to enter tail-down funnels is to start with backwards circles then rotate the heli to tail-down. Similar with nose-down funnels - Start with forward circles then rotate the heli to nose-down. And you don't have to rotate to full sideways right away - You can ease yourself into sideways gradually a little at a time.

To get really good just start with hover orientation - Tail-in, Side-in, Nose-in, Side-in until you can piro in place comfortably then start moving the heli around in slow flat circles with either the nose or tail pointed to the center of the circle. Once comfortable with that you can speed it up until the heli is pitched up into a funnel attitude.

I do this slow circle and figure8 orientation practice all the time with my 500. It takes a lot of concentration but it's a lot of fun for me and really hones the skills. I make my friends really nervous watching me do precision pirouetting figure8s inches off the ground.

As for the slow tail - Make sure you have the rudder travel cranked all the way up in your radio - Don't just leave it at 100%. My DX8 goes to 150% which is where I have it and the tail speed is really good. In fact I have my cyclics cranked to 150% as well.

Thanks for the great tip. That should be able to keep myself busy for a long while
now.

I find out I have a typo. I mean to enter tail down funnel by backward circle, not loops.
That is how the course in RealFlight virtual flight school teaches.

I will try to increase the rudder limit in TX and see how it works. My worry is
the TBO. Will find out soon enough.
