I didn't like the look of the Goblin when I first became interested in it but now I would change anything about it. Give it some time to grow on you. I want the 450 to look like the big Goblin and if it does I probably will not be able to help myself..

Can't wait to see what there 2nd season of building helis brings. Let alone 5 years from now . LOOK OUT!!!

It's not the looks I have my heart set on for the 450 size, it's the engineering and craftsmanship that SAB has built its reputation on. I'm hoping they carry over or improve upon the design they've implemented in the rest of their lineup...like they did with their most recent 500 development. I think most people were pleasantly surprised and appreciative of the entire 500 package. Nothing was compromised.

So the big question is how fast does SAB work? How long did the 500 take to come to market???

Default Goblin 450 rumor

If the price levels continue on down the line like they have been then that 450 will come in right around four hundred bucks. I'd be all over that. Especially if it comes with all the ingenuity and innovation that the present Goblins have. Wow, what a treat. Looks like SAB is about to become THE industry leader. Ok, now how am I gonna sell this to my wife?

Naw it was much longer than that. it had been on the design phase well before that.
The 450 is still in design phase doubt there is even a prototype yet.

Remember Stefano also said they want a 550 in that same podcast. So I'd bet being it would be an easier deal to get it out first than an entirely new airframe as I'm sure it is most likely based on the 500.

again all speculation but makes sense.
I am sure we will see at least a prototype this year at the speed SAB moves.
And I'm sure they have some stuff planned that we have no clue as well.

Gonna be fun watching SAB bring out these exciting helis in all sizes!

I'd prefer to see a 360 class, aka 450 swinging 360mm blades with a longer tail boom. That little bit of extra blade area and boom length doesn't raise cost much and gives you a heli that has slightly nicer flight characteristics than a 450 swinging 325mm blades in my opinion.
In some ways I hope we don't see a 550 as the 500 sort of fills that niche. I can't imagine that there would be a big enough difference between a 550 when compared to a 630 or 500. But if anyone can do something like this well, I'm sure SAB will.

I'm hoping for a large 450 as well and agree it makes all the difference in the world.
I loved the Rave450 4S 350 setups such an amazing little aircraft.
So I hope they can make a small Goblin large like that but without the gear stripping issues the Rave suffered from.

But I do think a 550 done right (570ish blades full size cyclics) would be different enough than the 500 to be interesting.

I had an Outrage G5 running 360 blades and could tell the difference between it and a 450 for sure. The other nice thing about it on 6S is that you could beat the crap out of it with 1300mah batteries and get 6 minutes of flight time, or roughly 8-9 minutes of just cruising. It was a great practice or beater bird for the parts cost as well.

Good point on the 570 possibility. I like where you are going with that one. It also separates the sizes a bit more than a standard 550 size design. :-)

Agree with the 3 posts above...360 blades sounds just about perfect.
