Default Updating firmware to v4, with DSMX Sat Rx

Hi guys,

O.K. so I have got a second hand 3GX unit which i want to upgrade to V4.0 so i can use it with a Spektrum DSMX sat Rx I bought a few days ago.

Now, since it's currently on a lower firmware revision it will not be compatible with DSMX, and if I understand correctly, I need to have the 3GX connected to a DSM2 (or Futaba) Rx and bound to a compatible Tx and everything switched on, juast to be able to update the firmware to V4. Is this correct?

I have a 6ch DSM2 Rx to hook the 3GX up to if needs be, but it seems like a bit of a carry on, just for a firmware update.

Thanks!!!

Regards
MB

You will need to bind the satellite/3GX in DSM2 mode initially, then upgrade the software to V4.0.

After upgrading to V4.0, you should clear the transmitter program and rebind satellite/3GX to DSMX(following the V4.0 instruction).
