Default Parts Required to Convert to flybarless?

Hi, does anyone know what parts are required to convert the G4 from flybarred to flybarless. Can you use the same blade grips or what.... Thanks.

What starter are you all using. The hobbico torque 90 and the high torque Thunder tiger starter are not cutting it.

You need the actual hub of the head as well:

PV1505 Head hub (67.99)

You don't need new blade grips (PV1515), just the arms: (this saves you over a hundred bucks.

PV1518 blade grip arms (21.99)

I've done this conversion to a couple G4s now, it is actually pretty cheap. The only pricey part is the head itself.

I use the Sulivan 601 starter using 4S lipo on an OS 91. Tried starting the motor of 3S and it wouldn't turn it.

Default Parts Required to Convert to flybarless?

At risk of hijacking the thread, I have considered purchasing a used 90 3D. Would the same parts be needed to convert it to FBL or is the recommended solution just to replace the head?

Yes, for that machine the main option is just to replace the head. I've seen "partial conversions" to the original head but they have messed up geometry... still fly but not like they should.
