It will be interesting to see what people are using.

I've used 3000 and now 3300's

Since my Align manual recommended 2600mAh, and I was a newbie when I built my first 500, that's what I went for. I've stayed with that size ever since when flying in pod and boom form, using Align, TP, and Gens Ace packs. I time my flights for 7 minutes of gentle flying.

With a Hughes 500 fuselage on, I've found that TP Prolite 6S 3900mAh balances nicely.

3000 just doesn't seem to have enough weight for proper CG for me. 3300s mounted about 1/2" down from the servos seems to be perfect balance for me.

Then again, my metal tail case and KDE tail slider didn't help CG at all.

I just purchased two more 3300 glacier from buddyrc.

For a heli, I would not go no less than 30c. Other than that, I have a 3000 and 3300. I prefer the 3000 45c for my flying.

Following this. I thought about buying some 3300s but I worry about fit. My pulse 2600s already rub the canopy if mounted all the way up on the tray

What kind of canopy are you using? You've got a pro, so you should already have the lowered battery tray. I'm really surprised that the 2600's rub the canopy.

How's your Center of gravity with holding the heli by the blades and main shaft perpendicular to the ground and boom to the left? Does the tail fall? Do you need your battery mounted all the way up?

I have the ESP. I use the EX canopy and allows me more space. The EX canopy is much nicer than the stock canopy. When I use the stock canopy, the 3000 is a tight fit, but works.

Honestly haven't checked. I'll check it after I get the head rebuilt. I'd like to try out some 3300s but I worry about the weight

Just checked, the pulse 2600 pack is has to nudge forward a touch to get the CG right. The 3300 makes it a touch nose heavy, even when butted up to the top of the tray
