Default Dragonus II Plus build videos are here

Hobby-Lobby is now carrying the Dragonus II Plus here in the US and there are some differences in the build from this and the PRO version I did. Many folks have been asking me for vids on this version and Hobby-Lobbby stepped up and asked me to do some for them.

Since it's such a fun heli I felt it was worth it.

So without further rambling here we go:

Whats in the box / Intro
VIDEO -> Whats in the box! (10 Megs)

Step 1 building the head
VIDEO -> Building the head (33 Megs)

Step 2 building the Seesaw
VIDEO -> Building the seesaw (52 Megs)

Step 3 building the Swash plate
VIDEO -> Building the Swash (18 Megs)

Step 4 Paddles and head links
VIDEO -> Paddles and Links (21 Megs)

Step 5 Tail Case
VIDEO -> Tail Case (32 Megs)

Step 6 Tail Hub
VIDEO -> Tail Hub (28 Megs)

Step 7 Lower Frames
VIDEO -> Lower Frames (14 Megs)

Step 8 Upper Frames
VIDEO -> Upper Frames (42 megs)

Step 9 Joining the upper and Lower Frames
VIDEO -> Joining the Frames (18 megs)

Step 10 Boom and Struts
VIDEO -> Boom and Struts (37 megs)

More to come!

Bob

Guys I dont think I will do OVER AGAIN the servo mounting and tail servo stuff.... It is EXACLTY the same as my previous videos AND I will be using a 9650 so the frame mount servo will not happen.

So what I would like to do is finish it and fly it and report back.

Sound good? If not what would you like to see to finish off this build?

Bob

Just a wierd thought. I think it would have been cool if you had set this machine up for a noob. Total docile flight. I know that it would not show too much in a vid, but it might encourage peeps that freak when they see massive 3dzz and get scared off. Just show them easy gentle flight, and how it can be done.

Hi Bob

Head setup would be nice as thats the bit I cannot get right.
As I have tried every thing to setup my head but the pitch is all wrong.

Guys to answer your questions

For setting up for a n00b or other choices, and showing the options in the mixer arms for easier throw please see this video I did for the Dragonus Pro which is 100% the same
http://video.helifreak.com/?subpath=...headngrips.wmv

That above video also shows what the choices are from the RC'er web site

Hi there Bob,

Is it alright if I set mine to A1, B2 and C2, which falls somewhere between beginner and intermediate? Thanks.

What more in the series do you need?
Servo install and head setup is identical to the other dragonus build.

Bob
Any Chance you will look at or assemble a E-Sky E- Flight They just came out with it and Prices were outrageously low for a 500 class machine. Seems to have the basics and should be something to start with.
Love to SEE AND HEAR your take on this Nubee helio.

P.S. I have one enroute and will post what I learn as I stumble though.

Where should this thread be posted?
