Mikado presented their new heli at Rotor Live yesterday, the Logo 690SX. Kyle Dahl beated the hell out of it and it stayed in one piece
Here are some photos and some infos.

looks like the same old frames with a piece strapped to the bottom.. is there any up date to the frames to fit larger lipos, or are the newer lipos just smaller, so they fit in the same frame?

looks like there are some braces bolted to the front to support lipos hanging out the front.

Sweet !

And it looks like an existing 600SX should be upgradable to a 690 ? Or am I wrong ?

I doubt the blade grips and bearings have changed at all, it seems the only change are the 5mm bladebolts. But with those it should handle 2000rpm easily and probably a lot higher. Other 700size helis use the same size bearings as are in the 600sx grips.

maybe now they will also be making the 13, and 14T pinions to match the SX maingear height.

the subframe looks a bit awkward, and I doubt it has changed anything to the battery positioning so I dont get it why its needed. Perhaps for ground clearance with 105mm tailblades...

Any pictures of the canopy next to a 600sx canopy for size comparison?

Hmmmmmm
Beefier OWB. YAH!
Aluminum tail pulley.
Different belt.
Maybe we have a 2200 HS
710mm 700?

But same frames? Not a lot of room for 12S 5000 packs.

Kyle crashed his L690SX lightly at rotor Live on sunday, there was a paper ribbon lying on the grass from a previous flight, he flew low over that ribbon and the ribbon went a little airborne because of the airflow of his main rotor, he tried to "shred" the ribbon probably for fun but hit the grass with his mainblades because he flew a "too-low-aileron-ribbon-shredding-tictoc :-)

Some more pics.

Head/blade bolt hasn't changed yet, the ones at Rotor Live were probably preproduction models,

As I said in another thread, now that I can see that riser block up close, I kind of want one. I can also see bolting the battery support unit onto my 600s.

Ok so I am confused. I hear the room in the frame is taller now for 12S 5000 packs.
So is it not using the original 500/600 frames? How are they making more room for packs?

I think the space in the frames is exactly the same as before. There is just a nice stiff platform for the lipo hanging out making trays largely pointless now.

FWIW, I don't think *all* 6s5000 will fit since they never did on the Logo500.

I wonder if we'll be able to hide stuff inside the riser. Might make a good spot to stuff a RX pack.
