Hi lowformat. It gets pretty lonely out here in the general forum so I'm moving your post to the Belt CP forum - great bunch of guys who'll make you welcome

Hi, yes you should be able to use the multi blade head if it is compatible with the 450. Which head in particular were you talking about? Ideally, you will want some electronic stabilisation to go with it such as the Gaui flybarless, Mikado Mini V-Bar or Align 3G but it is possible to fly multiblade without any electronic assistance albeit very sensitive and much more difficult!

Hi! Welcome to the forum

I've thought a lot about going with a multi-blade on one of my 450s.

I've talked to a couple of guys at the LHS who have multi-blade setups.

They say that electronic stabilization makes them no problem to fly, but you could fly one without the ES if you use a computer Tx to soften the response and dial-in some expo.

I think that you would have to be really good to fly a Belt with a multi head setup and no ES. There's just too much play (slop) in the Belt linkage and the stock Tx isn't responsive enough to handle it.

A Trex Rex head can be used on a Belt if you use the Trex main shaft.

Here's a link to a thread about what Trex stuff can be used with the Belt -

I had been thinking about using one of my EXI kits for a multi blade project.

You can pick one up for under $40 and it's completely compatible with the Trex.

Keep us posted on how you're doing with this project, and feel free to ask any questions you have
