Default Off center balls

I'm still new to the flybarless thing, but am going all in as fast as I can. My first two helis were easy as the blade grip balls lined up with the main mast centerline. My question to you veterans out there is this: has anyone left their blade grip balls off center and compensated for it by adjusting phasing mechanically or electronically? I'm getting ready to convert my Trex 500 where the stock blade grip ball locations are noticeably off center. I know I could search around for logo parts, or try to make something, but I started to wonder if any of that was really necessary. It seems to me that the stock flybarred heli used off center balls, so why shoudn't it work if I replace the mechanical Bell-Hiller force vector with an electronic mixed single pushrod from the swash. If I phase the electronics to the same value as the stock heli, it seems it should work. Has anyone tried this?
