Exclamation Tail Problem

Hi all,
I have maiden flight today.
I couldn't get the tail to be solid, no mater want gain I have stetted up, slow wiggle all the time.
I ended up with 104 gain seems to be best but still tail is not rock solid?
Do I have bad sensor?
Im on HV septum with savox SB-2272SG
Logs do not show anything unusual, no vibrations on live log with bluetooth module.
Any ideas?
( I have shortened the vbar sensor wier a bit, is that could affect the preformance?)
Rob

I don't know how bad yours is, but I had a minor slow wagging, say a couple of inches of movement at a pulse rate of about 1 or 2 per second. It didn't look like anything serious and was only obvious in hover.

I took main blades off, and took the tail hub off altogether. I spun up the heli and polished the tail shaft with silvo (I only had that, brasso would have been fine too) and got a really nice shine on the shaft. The pitch slider slid much more smoothly after that and the wag is all but gone.

I thought it felt smooth before I polished the shaft, but after I polished it I could really feel how much more silky it was.

Cheers,
Ant

I had a similar issue and found three different problems. One was the assembly of the forward tail drive gears. Mine were assembled so they allowed a little bit of play. The second was one of the bearings in the tail gear box wasn't seated properly so it allowed a bit of play in the aft tail drive gears. The third was some binding on the pitch slider as Ant found. When I fixed all of those the tail was solid.

Check event log for VBar to see if it's glitches on the RPM channel.

I did disassemble.
Forgot about it sorry.
Thrust bearings are ok.
I just noticed that when I turned head by hand I can hear very quiet click in the boom
When the shaft turns.
I will disassemble and double check .

Probably......

Unless the half ring has split, degrease them and glue back on the bearing with epoxy (carefully).

I had one come apart when checking mine.
