i know i can beat on them over and over.

come on gens ace, dont end a good thing
Exactly. Gens Ace are known for being quality batteries at a reasonable price, which is what made them stand out. Before, I knew if I needed batteries, I'm buying Gens Ace. Now I'm weighing my options. The choice isn't clear cut anymore.
I must say Sky Lipos, are ok. But if I'm not mistaken, they too are exclusive to Hobbypartz.

Sky Lipos are rebadged Gens Ace. Stick to the 40C Sky. They perform like the 25C Gens Ace. I have lots of both with close to and some over 100 hundred cycles and they are all still doing good.

The 60c 5300s were up around the 200.00 mark. I cant remember exactly but they were around 110.00 a pack.

Lol. All of their batteries are always supposedly on sale at 41% off. Lol
The only rush is to buy them before their next price hike. Lol

My guess is that the factory simply increased the prices.

The distributors have no other choice but to follow.

No inside info, but just based on the feeling the distributors make money by selling as many of the packs as possible, they don't gain by jacking up the prices and having the customers go elsewhere.

Factory is a bit more insulated from the customers. If the GensAce were premium cells pulled out of a larger production, then maybe the factory thinks they deserve more.

Again, just a WAG!

no definitely not aset up like that
partz old prices shocked me. i work with almost all the factories in china in some form or another. the partz old prices plus shipping to usa and import taxes were unbelievable. they were very very close to cost. i guess to get the market attention initially but that could not last. either gens or parts , i doubt parts, were merely breaking even on it to get the attention. this definitely could not be sustained so parts had to up their prices eventually. partz have to make money too.

I guess their sale finally ended? I remember for 2+ years there has always been a crossed out figure as if they were on sale. Now the 'sale' ended... it's their way of saying they are back to full price (which they never were until now).. a sneaky way to jack up the price?

I'm at peace with it. I won't be purchasing new batts until the Mar-Apr-May time period and there's no telling what will be available at that time. I'll just evaluate and purchase accordingly.

I agree. And TP has an excellent warranty, which makes it even easier to choose TP over GA with comparable pricing.

i've been flying Gens Ace packs for almost 2 years
love the packs and I did buy 4 - 25c 3300mah 6s packs and 2 1200mah 6s packs a month before the price increase. and i'm glad I did

I think its just supply and demand
everything is catching on to how well these packs are and they are raising their prices
I will either be purchasing glacier packs from epbuddy.com (made by the same factor that makes gens ace) or I will getting thor packs
TP's are over prices, I dont like the balance plugs on them

I purchased 2 thor packs when they where on sale about 3-4 weeks ago paid about the same as buying gens ace so I couldnt pass it up and I was suprised at how well they performed. If thor would lower their everyday pad to the sale prices the weekend before black friday I would buy them all the time.

I WILL NOT be buying gens ace again unless they lower their prices to where they where

UK prices of GensAce are almost the same as Optipower batteries at the moment, no point buying GensAce when one can have excellent warranty and 50% crash replacement for a couple £ more. They will not sell if they can't keep price low.
