Default Correlation between Control Rate and Bell Gain

Hi,

I am trying to understand the correlation between two. Yesterday I tried many settings. I found that faster response on aileron give me little oscillation on rotor head. I have to explain, this oscillation isn't too much, log didn't show anything bad but I can see it. First I thougth I have to much cyclic gain. But decreasing cyclic didn't help. Later I decreased Control Rate and Bell Gain at the same time until oscillation stopped. But after decreasing them, I don't like the response of aileron. What I want is the faster response without oscillation. Also how much oscillation is too much?

There is another interesting thing I realized. After powering up the unit and waiting for initialization, I check stick movements. When I give faster elevator inputs, swashplate can't keep up. There is too much delay. I am not sure about flight because after v4 flight characteristics are changed a lot. Yes, it is very stable but for me there is too much expo in firmware.

I like to give small inputs on transmitter, so I like fast response on the heli. I am trying to find the right spot. I hope I make myself clear.

Thanks,
Burak

- Control Rates are basically flip and roll rate. The higher the control rates, the faster the heli flips and rolls. Do some FULL flips and rolls, and adjust the control rates to suit your liking.

- Bell Gains are basically how fast the heli response to your stick movements. High bell gain will make the heli "react" faster to your sticks, and low bell gain will slow it down. However high bell gain may cause the heli to rebound at stops.
