Default Pictures of RNFB mod

Does anybody have some detailed pictures of their RNFB head? Need some up close pictures to make sure that I assembled mine correctly. Pictures on the web site were not clear to me and I just want to sure that every thing is "just right"
So far I like the kit and have enjoyed putting the Pantera 50 together. I added the Electric Stage 1 conversion which was a piece of cake to install.

Hey flyingquisinart , is it possible for you to post a detailed photo of your main gear and autorotation area. I'm doing some repairs after a crash and a photo will help reassure me. Thank You in advance for your help.

Do you have the P50 or the, P6? Mine is the P50, a couple of years old, but low miles so to speak.

I have the P6, it's my first big heli. I started on a sim then a nano cp and made the jump to my pantera.

You just finishing the build, or have you had it up? I enjoyed the build, I thought it was very straight forward.

I've had it up since mid December , I was in forward flight on an overcast day and lost orientation . By the time I got orientation it was to late and dumb thumbed it. This is a repair of the main shaft, and a few other odds and ends. Great heli my mentors are very impressed with the toughness and stability .

I am getting ready to do this conversion, and I have a question. can you run linkages directly off the swash to the blade grips, instead of using the extra mixers located directly under the head or does that certain advantages. Thought I would throw it out there, haven't had a chance to physically try it .I'm still getting back to flying heli's. did a few maiden tanks in FB, now want FBL, then want John's four blade head next.
Thanks
Tom

Yes you can but you need to use a longer ball link on the grip then the stock one. Check this link out http://panteradise.com/?q=node/11. It has been a while since I have read through the thread but I do the ball link is discussed. Todd

thanks tealc, I new I had seen that article before, just could not find it. do you use this method? I like it only because of its simplistic, less linkage set-up. but the other way is just fine. that is the way I just set mine up. Just waiting on my futaba 750 now. what blades/lengths do you use?

I was flying my (until it crashed last Aug) with the RNFBL setup that was discussed first. The one with the links from grips to mixing arms. Simply because I did not want to place an order for just ball links. I flew mine with Rail 603 blades and a CGY-750. Once I get around to rebuilding it, I will try a set of Spin blades. I have 600 and 610 Spin blade. Got them on sale for basically the price of a set of Rail blades. I did like my Rail blades and may go back to them. Not sure if I could tell a difference though. My Pantera will also sport a new YS 60SR (also got at a really good price) with a Hatori pipe. We will see how this goes. Hopefully I can get to building it soon. Been wanting to fly. Todd

Well, I'm ready to maiden the FBL version tomorrow, I have the TT, E550 ARF, FBL. I had an extra linkage set and two rods were just right to go from swash to blade grips. I'm going to use the Rail 606 that are off my N5ctt. The 750 is set enough to try, will do the gov. Thing after I try. Hope it works out.
