Default Where is the best place to buy a Mini Protos?

Hi,

Looking to pick one up online... I figured since most of you have a miniP I would ask where you found the best deal or if they are all about the same price, is there a site that has superior customer service vs the others? Shipping problems etc..

Also, which sites have descent availability/pricing on parts?

Thanks!

If I was where you're at I'd just get it from Bill at MSH Direct - it's a no brainer.

+2, Bill has superb customer support. Only other choice would be waiting for someone like Experiencerc to have a 10% off sale.

The msh direct kit is a steal.
$550 low fbl head, stretch kit, yge 60, scorpion 6s motor, 350mm blades, and a brain = no brainer.

Between the stretch kit, the low fbl head, and the included electronics, it's like getting the rest of the kit for free! Buy that, put 4 $20 tgy306hv servos on it, a satellite, a pulse 1300 6s battery, and you are set.

I ended up doing exactly that! lol. So far impressed with msh direct. Placed the order Monday morning at 7am and had a shipping confirmation by 8am. It arrives Thursday! Can't wait.

Only issue with the servo's from HobbyKing is that they are backordered from the US Warehouse. I ordered from Europe and did swiss shipping. Hopefully they arrive in a descent time frame.

I'm sure I'll have questions on the build, so I'll be back!

cheers mate!

I bet you are going to have a very fun time ahead.
Make sure you have your tools and a bottle of loctite at hand when the kit arrives.
Start by sanding the sharp frame edges slightly, clean all screws of the oil, assemble the head and tail and read up on the build tips. By the time your ready your servos will be in the mailbox. Dont forget to isolate the cirquit board inside the metal servo casing with a piece of tape. its the only mod needed there. Lets say that is the compromise for the low price on them.

If any part wont slip together without slop or needs more than light pressure to make fit, think it over, fix it or just ask away.

Example:
I'm just back from the bench having difficulty putting the belt rollers together on the metal roller upgrade. the pin would not go in the bearing and i would have killed the poor thing if i forced it.. had to ream the bearing ID a little with a little round file file or push a drill-bit through it lengthwise by hand, 4 rollers are now switched while the kit was still mostly assembled. So easy to work on

Your kit is going to be a power monster at 6s You wont know what hit you when you get to fly it. There is no shame in limiting pitch to 9-10 degrees for your first attempts.

have fun!
