Default How hot is too hot?

Had about 9 successful flights with my Mini, and loving every minute of it! Still tweaking gains on the SK540, but it really REALLY flies nice with the basic sport setup.

Anyway, motor comes down fairly hot after about 4 min and 30 seconds, I can almost bare to keep my finger on the can and bottom, but it is for sure too hot to hold it there for long. ESC seems fairly warm, though not TOO terribly hot. I'm running 6S and the batteries are barely warm when unhooking them.

So what is considered normal? I'll running the standard YGE ESC 6S settings (forgot off the top of my head what they were exactly) but went with what most people go with.

Also, for those with the SK540, how much tweaking is really necessary? It flies pretty good, but I suppose I could make it better. I still haven't set the set the Hiller Decay to 200% to check hover and then adjust linkages to "trim it out" as I find it very very stable as is.

Anyway, be nice to hear from some of the veterans about 6S motor/ESC temps and if I should be worried. I intend to pick up a infrared thermometer here before too long to check as well. For now I'm going by feel (pretty scientific!)

Default Yep

Too hot to touch long sounds right. My 4s and 6s are both like that.
