Helismith, thank you.
Another quick question; the guides on the tail boom; do they need to somehow be fastened down or should they be left loose to slide on the boom. |

Re: Trex 450 Pro build videos
Did you check the tail movement like pinguin suggested yet?

Trex 450 Pro build videos
Slip the end of a small zip tie under them, it sounds hokey but it's really what we do.. Hold the end flat to the boom and wiggle the control rod guide over it

This is one of the parts on the HK-450 Pro that is actually better. It has guides you can slip over the boom and they screw-tighten. Worth ordering a kit for that part and a couple others.

I got the screw in. It was more getting the tiny nut on than anything else.
I just couldn't get it to stay in the gear. I finally put a very small dab of CA on it. That did the trick, and I tested it first to be sure I could get it off again. Now, I just have to figure out what to do about the servo wires being too short. Is it better to solder a Length of wire on them or use servo extension. The extensions would be way too long, so, I'm leaning toward soldering a length of wire on. |

Actually I put the receiver in the center of the frame on foam to raise it up so I don't have to lengthen the wires.
I've used short extensions when I've had to I like to use heat shrink over the connection to keep it together. Soldering the little wires isn't so hard I've done that as well. Either way works if you have to add length.

Sine I'm in San Diego, or at least ill be back Ina few day I may just go by HiTech and ask if they can replace the servo wires with longer wires, I only need about a inch more on each of them. The Ikon really fits well on the shelf behind the AR bracket. So, another option is to mount it with the servo wires facing forward; which might also help insure the servo wires stay plugged in. I kind of like the idea of the iKon inside the frame to protect it a bit. But I'd also have to take a side of the frame off to wire the Heli. Anyway, I'm going to play with it all a bit more when I get back from vacation. |

Re: Trex 450 Pro build videos
One other thing it is ok on flybar to use the digital trims for the swash plate to get stable hover. Just go back and make the mechanical linkage changes after flight i.e. to elevator linkage and reset the digital trim to zero then retest. After a few flights you will have it mechanically perfect without the need for trim....

I got the swashplate leveled and briefly hovered the heli - all went fine The collective and cyclic were touchy though because I have not yet set the Pitch and Throttle curves. Thank you very much for your help, I greatly appreciate your generosity. Best Regards Joshua |

Got a question, maybe its not a clever one but i'm not sure about it.
To straighten your servo arms you just set up a 3s 2200mAh lipo --> esc --> receiver ---> ail and pitch servo's on my counter or should i buy something special to straighten out the servo's? Sorry for my English! Serge Verstuurd vanaf mijn HTC One X+ met Tapatalk |

Thanks for the info and the videos. But there is something i would like to ask.
Align offers a new, shorter set of tail pitch control links. http://www.helipal.com/h45183-new-ta...trol-link.html Are they going to work better with or without the flip mod? Thanks |
