well, I think HD would be smart enough not to take pre-orders until they knew for sure it would be coming out. It shows to be in stock at 2/8/2012

Maybe Skookum should update their website. It still shows the following:

I would say not, and the date will pass by as all apocalyptic dates have.

I really really want a 720 BE for my 6HV build in progress.

I wonder if I can use a Power bus 1 on the new 720?

You could use that powerbus with any FBL controller.

It is a feature of the 540 and Black edition to have an internal bus that can handle higher current loads, but it doesn't mean that they can't use a powerbus if you want one.

That is great news, I guess we should be seeing some new software on the Skookum site soon as well. Mine will take a bit longer as it has to come via the Australian distributor who I pre-ordered with but that is ok, I won't get home till later this coming week anyway. The bad news is that I will have my Goblin 500 to build a few days later and not much time so the GPS will have to take the back seat for a while. Pity it didn't come over my Christmas holiday break when I had plenty of time to play.

Is every one ordering the gps to use on the 720 black for when the 720 black comes out? from what I understand it wont work on a 540 Red. is there someother way to use in the mean time?

It will work with the 720 blue. You can find these used or last I checked scaleflying.com had new ones still in stock.
