Well yeah I don't think anyone is going to expect you to buy a new kit... Dylan has some of the best customer service around and he'll get you fixed up one way or another.
I don't know if this is relevant to your problem, but just because the stock setup would pull 100/100 pitch fine doesn't necessarily mean the brushless kit will. The BL motor is much faster so even though you're asking for the same amount of pitch travel, you're actually demanding a much higher climb rate. Make sense?
I'm not saying you don't have a problem with the setup, I think you do. I'm just saying it might not be fair to expect the same amount of pitch travel from a much higher headspeed.
What would be better to say, I think, is that the heli feels slower and less powerful than stock. Is that true? Because it definitely shouldn't be. The kit isn't going to make the nano act like a TDR, but it will allow you to do the same tricks as stock much easier and a bit quicker, with less bogging overall.
Just curious, how did you measure your HS?

I'll see what's up with it. Btw headspeed apps are not precise at all on the small stuff in my experience, I only trust optical tachs or data loggers.

And..none of My bl nanos run more than 85%or so pitch...

Could you post recommended tx settings? I made some install vids and would like to get all the necessary info someone might need all in one thread, that way they don't have to try and search through a dozen threads to find it all like I did. Thanks

This is a stupid question but when tour talking about 85% pitch do you mean to change pitch to 85 from 100 in the travel adjust menu ( dx6i)???

That's the thing, ask 10 people and you will get 10 different setups:rolleyes:

I run 75% flat throttle and 85-95%pitch depending on the setup, and battery/temp. Motors can have a variance in Kv, main shaft bearings seem fragile on the nano compared to the mcpx and can effect power too.

And different flying styles use different settings, not to mention small differences between transmitters.... Always best to experiment and fine tune to your taste, just like any other heli.

I was hoping a TX setup thread would pop up after a bunch of people for their bl nanos dialed in.

Thanks for the Vids btw, I Havent had the time to watch them yet though :o

Some ppl leave the pitch curve linear and limit the end point for the pitch channel.

Default bl kit

well ok with the tach, but it still dose t answer why a stock motor out preforms a bl motor. unless its a bad motor. I was just hoping for results with awesome power and its not there. when i went to a 3s system on my 130x that was crazy results. although i went back to a 2s. ill sent to dylan and see whats up. just bummed

Im reading this for some time now matt but when you say krazy power you aint going to get that, not from a mild kit i dont think that was the intension.
I can tell you from my experience/my feel is at 68% TC flat it feel just a tad stronger better but i do agree the climb rate i think is slower then stock lol but i dont have a stock nano to compare. im running 100% pitch so i think im going to lower it as dylwad metioned this will help my bogging at the end of the pack.
Im going to a indoor funfly tonight and there i will be able to compare stock to bl nanos and will post back late tonight

I'm getting about 4900 rpm on the mild BL, vs 4800 with a new stock motor (100% throttle, 0 pitch, optical tach)

My Mild kit has way more power than stock. Run 80% flat and 125% throw. With a new/tight swash the tail is rock solid. Just love it! Once yours is fixed you will too
