Default 7200BX Starting Settings.

Hey,
Helping a new 7Hv owner setup his machine with 7200BX.
What are good starting settings to get us close, pot's and gains?
I've never done a BX setup before, should be interesting.

Thanks

Scott, these things usually fly pretty well out of the box with the gains at default. As long as everything else is setup correctly the maiden should be uneventful and then tune from there.

Sounds good.
Anyone know servo ball distance that works well for 6* reference.

Default settings are fine for first flights, but pots 1 and 2 should be turned up for a 700 size machine. Keep in mind, default pot settings work well for a 450 size machine.

here is how i set my beast X most settings stock

pot 1 - 2 or 3 marks positive from center.

pot 2 same as pot 1

pot 3 i think i had that turned down a mark or two but that really depnds on tail blades.

i used transmitter mode. set my rates in radio to 110% and 20% expo nice fast flips and roll rates like that
rates on the tail were 90% and 45% expo. tail is very slow around center and pretty quick when you bang the rudder all the way over... that is how i like my tail..

heading lock gain set to high... gyro gain in radio around 40%

everything else was the stock settings except for what needed changed to make the helicpter fly right like the gyro compensations, piro compensation and all of that. but the rest of the settins were all stock beside the ones i just mentioned.

what servos are you running ?? cyclic and tail

some servos may need a slightly different set up.. but most servos should probably like the settings i gave you. so that should work out pretty well..

the bone stock settings should also fly very well. the beast x is made so it should fly well with the stock settings on just about any thing, on the little ones like a 450 or 250 you just turn pot 1 down and its good to go, than you dial it in to your liking from there.

on a 500 or bigger you can leave the pots and all that stock. and it will fly fine than you dial it in to your liking. the settings i gave you were where mine felt best at.. and those settings are personal preference

He's got Hitec 5565 on Cyclic and a Torq 9188 tail.

definately set beast x heading lock to high with that servo, and if he has carbon tail blades pot 3 will probably need turned down a click or two. with kbdd tail blades i think pot 3 was good at center..
