I got the keycam sorted out. I had to reformat the sd card. I had it formatted for ntfs, had to use fat32. Got it mounted on the tail. I will try to do a video later.

I think that may be why the vid shakes a bit. I may need to find a better way to mount it. I tried it on the boom. All I got was a good vid of the swash plate.
As for the crash. I forgot to switch the dual rates. It flips a lot better with 100%. It was also a bit windy. That and I am not that good of a pilot yet.The weather has kept me on the ground all week. I just had to get in some stick time.
It appears that the pine tree made a nice catch. I flew right after that crash. Had some bad vibes on spool up. I thought it had bent the spindle. Sat it back down and tried it again. It did a lot better. So I think I am good to go.

Here is the next flight. It shakes bad on spool up. Near the end I sat it down and spooled back up. There is a big difference.

Testing a different way of mounting. I am trying to get the roll out of the vid.

Nice flying, guys! I haven't been able to fly for a couple weeks with a lot of things going on recently. Jealous

I hope it doesn't take long to get dialed in. I'll have you HeliFreaks with me at the field on my tablet to help get things sorted out, hopefully tomorrow

Well, technically, later today. Bed now. Sleep.

Welp, I've been flying CP Helis since March. I don't think this is too bad. Now I just need to start getting more altitude control in and out of rotations so I can do all these flippies 5 ft off the ground:

Nice work, copenhagen

Test flight on my SHY clone 300x Early in the flight had some rapid tail wag in FFF and on hard collective. Unfortunate unplanned landing at the end when this little monster surprised me by flying so fast coming out of a stall/piro turn it was on top of us before I knew it. I hit TH, and fell from about 12ft up onto concrete, no one injured. Snapped CF boom, broken frame that looks repairable, just one clean crack in an easy place to clamp. The Scorp 2213-14 and 13t combo make this little beast into a ROCKET.

I am experiencing similar vibe problems above 85% IU on the YEP 30A, with dramatic right roll as the skids blur. Higher HS possible with the Lynx blades.

Upgraded 300x flight and crash (2 min 50 sec)

Thanks. I was thinking..bummer you crashed right on the one little strip of concrete with all that grass. I have burried a 130x into a sidewalk surrounded by long grass. Such is life. Matter of fact, right before my wife took the above video, I lost a flybarless link on the 300x (second time this has happened btw), so I am currently using an old servo to swash link of appropriate length. I got lucky though- landed in crass and no damage to heli as I used TH and was only about 30 ft up. Sounded like a flat tire...LOL.

Fortunate that when I hit my blades were not under power, I think they might be OK. I still haven't checked for bends in the main and feathering shafts... When I say it fell onto concrete, there was no thrust to it at all - it appeared that it stopped in mid-air due to my efforts to correct, then I cut the motor and it dropped as it lost HS. It looked like if I hadn't hit TH, it would have flown out of the situation just fine, I was just too disoriented from flying over and behind myself, and dizzyheaded from allergies to trust I wasn't dumbthumbing it. The goal was to keep it in front of us away from the parking lot
