I see the Neu 1706 is ready https://www.helifreak.com/showpost.p...3&postcount=71

No you will need one with a 5mm shaft. Unless of course you can find pinions suitable with a 1/8" (3.18mm) bore.

I read about NEU 1706H/1.5y This motor made for 6S lipo.
How You think I can use on the 8S?

Video with 6S lipo: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xYC55hYdh8Q

And also wath you think about 1910H/1.5Y and 1907H/1.5Y motors with 8S setup?

I run a scorpion 1400kv with outrage 6S 3000's and a 15t pinion.

Standard Align ESC with throttle curve at 100/90/100. Flight time is around 5.30 minutes. Putting around 75% back in when charging and Im not doing hard 3D. Circuits/inverted/flips/loops/rolls/stall turns, (180's and 540's), etc

Question 1706H/1.5y - Will it work with the Kontronic 55-10-32?

I heard the 1905/1.5Y would not work with the Kontronic. Will the new 1706 work with it? Also, do you have to mod the frame to fit the new 1706?

Also, can you tell me why the Kontronic would not work with the 1905/1.5Y?

Thanks in advance

Default scorpion motor will not fit stock motor mount

Hi guys,

I've just got a scorpion 3026-1400.. I think its the old model that has a collar at the base of the motor sharft..

I'm using the stock upgade pinion 15T..

when i mount it on.. the pinion shoulder where it taper out is rubbing the main gear..

has anyone got this problem before... I was told that the RHINO gear fit better..

I would rather use back my 15T then to get another gear..

Has any body done this before..

the way i look at it is to find metal spacer to lower the motor so that it will bring the pinion down as well

I've tried using metal washer of 1MM.. but it need at lease 2 to 3mm.. so my worry is with 2 or 3 washer.. I'm not really comfortable because the contact between the motor and the motor mount will only be this washer area..

Has anybody tried another method before..

thanks
quest

p.s. Will the stock ESC work with this motor
I'm running align 6S 2500mah(old batt) new one is 2600mah
I'm running gov mode... should i run 100% flat.. and what HS will i get..

cheers

Change the pinion to a 15t, if you have other good 6s batteries then not a good idea.

Default Power for the electronics question

Just curious here... What are guys doing to power the electronics?

I'm installing a CC Phoenix 80 ESC which has a BEC built in... is that adequate? What about just using a separate 10 AMP BEC? Or should I be providing a separate power supply all together? I'm using all digital high quality servos and powering the latest motor from Steve Neu.

I do actually have a full Duralite regulator system which uses a separate battery but am concerned about the added weight...

Anyway, just wondering what other guys are doing.
Thanks!

I run a Sports BEC at 6V, powered off the main flight battery.
