Default Do you grease your main gear?

I've never heard of this, yet the outrage video says they recommend doing this.

Very interesting. Why though? I have the 550, but I do use the F50 main gear and have lithium grease! I might try this.

It is interesting indeed. Up until a few weeks ago I never did that either. Getting the Henseleit - it was in their instruction to put some grease on all gear.

Maybe someone could chime in and explain it a bit. Possibly we get some more information in the main forum.

With grease, there is the possibility to gather or attract dust and sand, that could wear-out or break the gear if it happen.

On the other side, I have one 450 that I have put some grease 3 years ago without any problem and she run quiter than my other 450 with no grease.

Just my 2 cent.

I flew my Fusion 50 today after applying white lithium grease. The drive train was much smoother and the gear noise was greatly reduced. I was beginning to worry about the persistent gear dust after flying the Fusion 50 since March. Very little effort with positive results.
