Default Align 2in1 glow igniter not lighting my glow plug on my ys 120

I've tried searching it and everybody else has different lights that show up. I have it grounded to the back plate And clipped to tip of glow like I have in my past setups. When I hit the ignite ONLY the green light comes on, stays on for about 15 sec then the orange light will come on for just a sec before both lights shut off. Is the backplate bolt not a good place to ground? Everything else works fine all my servos power up etc so the only thing I'm thinking it can be is the ground clip or the power clip. Is the coating on the engine not suitable for electric current? Should I dremel a small section of the coating off for it to ground properly? Lol I have no idea what to do. Which is why I'm asking you guys

I found the only place the motor will ground is on the bolt that holds the throttle housing on. Just in case anybody else had this problem

Sorry to mention the obvious: is the glow plug still good? What if you take it out, ground it straight to the backplate ground and see if it works?..

What plug are you using? If it's an Enya 5 it's likely to be the Align 2 in 1. I had this problem with both my Perfect Regulators ignitor (that is a thread in itself) and my Push-glo. I contacted Push-glo about it and they acknowledged that there was a problem with some of the beefier plugs (high resistance) with some of there units. It's been a while, but I think some of their components weren't up to the specs they thought or something. Anyway, they sent me out two new units and they worked fine. I have a Protek on my 120SR now and it lights up the Enya #5 just fine.

I had the same issue with my align 2n1 and i thought it was a bad unit. I was in a process of purchasing another align one but after reading your problem it might be aligns 2n1...

I recently switched back to OS 91 hz r and it ignites without any problem.. it might be the motor or plug with higher resistance.

I got it work. It was just really hard to find a place that it considered a good enough ground. I was touching it on all different type of places that were grounding spots but the unit just wouldn't run off of them. I finally grounded it to the bottom of the heli. The center set of screws that hold the bottom cf plate on. The weird thing is if I screw it down suuuuuper tight it won't work but if I back it off a little but it works...
