Default X50 shrink down to 550 size?

Hi all,

I already have the 600 size and also 500 size nitro. I am a big fan of nitro and now looking at the second hand X50. Is it possible to use the whole tail set from e550?

best,
Bat

Well that thread did not go far.I like the x50 design but would be nice to see it scaled to a 550.They sell this but it looks far inferior to the x50 design.I think it would be a rocket if set up correctly.A lot better than the trex 550 I would think.Im sure one would only half to shorten the boom or run an r30 boom but not sure if its belt or tt.I prefer the older r series belts.

R30 boom, and isn't the TT aluminum, so you can cut it down and have a 550 machine.

Yes that is what he's talking about, use R30 V2 the tail fits and works. Use the boom and belt from it as well. You can also change the pinion on the clutch if you so desire.
