I am a novice and need a motor for non hard flying and 2200mahg packs.
Would i need the 980kv or 1470kv.
I have heard the standard Gaui motor is not very efiecient.

I think the 980 will serve you for a long time and you should be able to gear it up later for sport flying. For now all you will need is longer flight times. Not sure if you are just hovering or doing fast forward flight etc. Also much more reasonable with the 2200 packs.

A Z20 with 980kV is nice for long flight times. Use a 15T Pinion for 6s...

For long flights and mild 3d take the z20 KV980. The Z20 KV1470 is more powerful about 1400Watts.

PS: Hallo Klaus ;-) Wo du dich wieder rumtreibst.

get the aluminium elevator, aileron and pitch levers, and get some raptor 30/50 or rocket city ball links, also get some M2x8mm hex head bolts and your good to go . also watch finless bob's build videos to see what to look out for when building
