Default Where to find Hatori Manuals?

Does anyone know where these manuals are? I searched for them and can't find them. Even Hatori USA doesn't list them.

Looking specifically for the SB-23FH manual - for the YS120. I bought one used and want to see exactly how everything is installed correctly on the pipe/header.

For anyone that does use this combo what i'm looking for is the order of the silicone grommets, the washers, and the metal nipples that go through the grommets.

1) Does the thick side or thin side of the silicone grommets go closest to the motor?
2) Where do the metal washers go exactly?
3) Orientation of the metal nipples - toward or away from the motor?

Thanks. PDF or manual would be great.

Found a PDF someone scanned and uploaded for reference.

However, this setup doesn't make much sense to me. As you can see, Hatori asks that the flat washer spacer be on the outside of the assembly, with the metal nipple tube facing toward the motor, creating an elevated position between the header assembly. This also makes the 4 connecting bolts have less threads to grab on to.

Another gentleman did it this way which seems to be a much better method - having the metal nipples on the outside of the assembly and the 4 flat washers on the inside header assembly. Everything fits flush this way. The only concern being now the silicone grommets are full touching the header assembly and are more susceptible to heat transfer.

What do you guys think?

DC, that isnt the "correct" way to do it.

take the pipe and the adapter plate off the motor. assemble the pipe to the plate, then assemble the entire assembly to the motor.
there should be a washer that goes on the bolt, that goes thru the pipe.
then the rubber pieces go on with the metal washer facing the adapter.
tighten all 4 bolts in a cross pattern till they are tight. i always dab a bit of lube on the orings on the adapter so they slide in the pipe with out folding over or ripping.

So basically what you're saying is to do it in the method Hatori suggests, like in their instructions above.

I don't have my pipe or motor in the frame yet. I was just wondering what the proper way was before installing. The picture above is one another member posted a while back about how he did his, with the metal nipple spacers facing away from the motor.

You can't remove the header (plate) from the motor and install on pipe, then install the assembly. On a YS 1.20 this blocks access to the bolts that hold the assembly to the motor.

I've always installed the pipe as per the instructions and never had a problem. The 1.20 shakes pretty good, you would not want the pipe hard mounted.

Hey man. Ya I think Dodge may have been referring to the way O.S's are mounted which is entirely different than a YS. I guess i'll just follow the instructions and leave it be.

Some say YS's do fine by hard mounting it. Do you use a gasket or some sort of high temp RTV?

I have some Quick UK gaskets (they are much thicker and harder than normal). I might try them.

EDIT: Did you ever get your backplate sensor assembly for your 120? Howd that pan out?

I crashed my 700, hard. I'm now just getting it back into the air with the CHP direct to swash frames. Have not tried the back plate sensor but plan on it soon.

Edit: I never use a gasket, just some rtv sparingly.

Ouch sorry to hear that. Mechanical? You'll like the CHP's. The direct servo to swash shoudl be a cool upgrade.

I lost the tail while inverted and couldn't get it upright. Have not had much time with the CHPs. I'm trying to get over the flu at the moment.
