Default sizing...

ok, the 450 is a 450 motor, and the 600 has 600mm blades. The 450 is a size of it's own for scale fuse's and the 600 is a "50" size as far as scale fuse's go... so whta will the 500 be? another "custom" size heli or wil it work well in a "30" size fuse. I have no problem waiting till next year for this to come out. Since i'm wanting to build a scale heli this may be a good time to start painting a fuse and installing lights, etc... till the mechanics become available. So does anyone have a definate answer as to what size fus'e would work with this heli?

Align naming convention is the size of the motors, and confuse everyone!

Sounds like you already have your scale? which one is it?

Yeah, 600 is 600 size motor, which also works out to 600mm blades just to confuse people.

The 500 sized (motor) is smaller than a 30 sized, which is more 550 size (motor, with 500 - 550 mm blades).

IMO Align just followed the Nitro spec, which was based on engine size.

no, I haven't bought the scale fuse yet.. I want to do a bell 222 non-airwolf and was going to do either a trex600N or a raptor50 in it. With the 500 coming out and being able to use 450 batteries I may try that scale instead.
