Default Main blade grip Play

Hi Guys,
I'm looking for some advice on my Logo 800 xxtreme head.

I have slight radial play in my main blade grips. It looks like it's coming from the actual radial bearings in the grips.
I have had the grips off to apply grease and thread lock and the grips are moving super smooth.

Have anyone had the same experience and is this something I need to worry about?

Would adding another 0.5mm shim between the thrust bearing and radial bearing be an idea to tighten things up.

I would appreciate your help!

This is the first time I have asked for advice on a forum so bear with me!

The Reason I have posted on both the Mikado xxtreme forum and Helifreak is that in my understanding the Mikado staff only monitors the Mikado forum and not Helifreak and also that the xxtreme forum is only open to registered xxtreme owners.

I was only looking for some advice!

Default Main blade grip Play

Give the man an answer or just dont post, i am getting real sick of all these "unwritten" forum rules.

I do not have any play on the grips, but i just flew my xxtreme 12 times.

I got two kinds of bolts to fasten rhe grips, i used the flat ones so the blades can move freely, though i do nor think this has anything to do with the mentioned play.

Is it possible the pressurebearings allready have some wear? How many flights?

Did not mean to offend - the reason was to keep the Info in one thread(forum).

Just an update on my issue with the main blade grips.

I emailed Mikado for some advice, and so far the level of service and help has been great!

After a bit of confusion about radial and axial play
This is part of the reply I got:

"Radial play is kind of normal on the big heads, specially when the blades are mounted. Under load the blade holder sits 'rock solid' on the thrust bearing"

As I have not got that level of play in my other 700 machines I will try to add another 0.5mm shim to tighten things up.

If anyone else has experience with this, please let me know.

Just another update.

I have changed the spindle shaft and bearings (Mikado kindly send me some replacements) Everything now runs smooth, but nice and tight, with no play.

I think it was caused by excessive play in the radial bearings that was the main problem.
The new bearings feels a lot tighter.

The Heli is all built now and ready for a maiden tomorrow.

Good to hear you got it fixed.

Nice that mikado stands behind there machines.

I'd imagine it must get tough at times as these mechanical (and electrical ) masterpieces are subject to human error in so many ways.

Had a couple of flights on her yesterday.

Love this bird already!

This is my first Mikado but certainly not the last.
