Default Loosing Power?

Hi, I've been flying the Protos 500 but it seems that after 2 minutes into flying, i'm loosing power and theres no more lift. For the first minute or so, everything is great and I have gobbs of power, but after a few minutes, the heli struggles to keep hovering.

My batteries seem ok and they're only discharged to 23.6V, so I know they have power. They come down barely warm too, so i wouldn't suspect that the C rating on the lipo is too low.

What I am noticing is that the motor is really hot when it comes down. Could this be the problem?

Thanks!

If your motor is the Scorpion, they run hot so it's ok to come down with a hot motor. I'm having similar issues but I think for me it's the battery (need to order new pack to test). For me after about 45 seconds it loses lift and starts to come down on it's own. And this is with a freshly charged pack of 4.2V per cell.

But, what voltage are the cells when you come down? Also, any beeps from the ESC (YGE)? Do you get two beeps like me which signifies low voltage? Would you be able to find our the IR of the pack?
