Default kontronik 80 jive

i have been having blackouts on my trex 600 pro efl and cannot explain them of coarse they happend randomly in normal flight causing crashes.the manual reccomends using a 4.8 nimh pack parralel with the bec.is this mandatory as all my friends flying with kontronik do not do this and have no problems

ok i think i found it.i was playing with my servos and heli on the bench today for about 20 min.when the blackout accured again noticeing that the light on the back of my dx7se went out for around 10 sec then came back on again .massive transmitter failure....so i guess the answer is new transmitter,,the problem now is one of the capacitors on my kontronik got a good size dent on it.do i rely on it?it seems to be working fine.thanks for the input

I have no issues with my helis running the BEC straight (at 5.6v) with no buffer pack... this using a Jive 80LV, Jive 80HV, and Helijive 120HV.
