So I understand correctly, the rx battery needs to power the 2 inputs on the rx ( I have the Gpro in my kit ) because of the amperage draw?
So 1 battery needs the y harness, or 2 batteries plug directly into the 2 rx inputs?
Do I have that right?
Thanks.

1x 2S batt with two servo wires into the FBL. If you are worried about redundancy, use an Optiguard.
I did.

Not really worried about redundancy.
Just want to make sure I have a big enough battery.

Yep, and that's why I use an Optiguard if the a bec or Rx batt fails completely

Sure. The Ultra Guard 430 Super Combo (incl LED)is what I used.
I believe there is newer version now, but the above worked very well on both my 800 and 700.

My question is what do I need to do in the ESC programming. I do have the Caste link set up and software already. I have a Pulse stick 65c (2) 5000 MAH to power the motor. Please let me know if anything does not sound correct. Better to ask than cook something. I will want to run it at a low head speed until I get comfortable with it.

\if the heli was used with the same motor then you probably dont need to change anything as far as settings go if previous owner flew it successfully, but you'll need to recalibrate the throttle to your Tx to show where 0-100% is then set some flat curves.

If you are running lowe headspeed you'll want an ESC with freewheel, not sure about Castle ESC's.
