That was fast! Thanks guys. This is one area you guys are ahead of me on. And no need for me to try and reinvent the wheel trying to nail it fresh on my end. So, just surmising here. 11mm should do it then? I can hit that.

What servos are you using ? I too had an elevator bobble using align DS 415M servos I switched servos to turnigy s306g hv. The helicopter is now solid as a rock this helicopter requires very strong servos. Nothing else I could do or did do would make the bobble or my Tailwag go away.

Which YGE are you using? The 40A or something larger?

Please see post #22 by me in this thread:

Double check that the governor is correctly setup. You may also want to try dropping your headspeed slightly.... maybe you're hitting a limit?

Do you have freewheeling or anything else on?

It only happens with the governor on?? Which firmware are you running?

That is a fairly well documented software bug in the 3:15. Also you may need to clean out your logs. Even with logging off. Some esc's have the tail wag with gov. Others don't. Have you dropped gains down yet till it looses its tail and brought it back up? Then, lower your overall head gains a few degrees down. I have heard a few guys saying that also helped on their helis.

Default UPDATE

Update:

I reset the yge esc throttle ends High/Low for the 5th time..and the Led on the ESC finally went all the way dim(out) at full throttle like it does w/gov off. and NOW no tail wag with gov on... wow...

Still get tail wag with logging on no matter any adjustment...bug in skookum still.

So key...make sure LED on yge goes out at full throttle(100%).

I'm at 50cyclic gain/ 47 tail gain at 2850 headspeed w/gov on. Flys great

What setting needs adjusted in the SK720 to prevent tail wag in FFF turns...?

I don't want to lower the tail gain to much or won't feel locked in higher winds...

Will lowering the HH gain in tail tab help any with this?

thanks

I'm running about 50% gain at ~3900rpm with 60mm Edge tail blades.

Running all turnigy 306hv's @7.4v .05/ 3.7g Over 80 flights. No problems with them. I think I have fixed FFF wag on turns by lowing the collective mix gain to 20 from 30.

Statistically you have about 20 flights left before a FET Burns out and smashes your heli. That's the only reason I didn't get them. Unless they have started using better ones now?

Lower your gain to reduce wag, (I'm on 55% with ds95i) up your hold gain as well as start and stop gains to get that locked in feel you want back again.

Rallyant.....
I spoke with Hobbyking personally...and they received a new updated batch of the Turnigy HV's. I see no problem with them...taking them appart and comparing them with the DS95's ..I will keep everyone updated..

Your running 55 on your tail gain? I turned mine down to 38 to get rid of wag on FFF collective turns.. Alvin suggested playing with the Rate gain first..then HH gain... which I'm looking at now..

I also think my SK gov is producing some minor wag..at 26 gain now...
