Default Faster pitch respons

hello,

i'm flying my Compass atom 500 stock setup with the MSH Brain fbl unit.
I really love the msh brain, very nice unit.

I'm flying in the hard-3d modus and don't use expo's.
But i would like to have a little more faster pitch respons.

I'm learing tic tocs now and i find the pitch a little slow on my stick movements.

I'm using MSK DS9660a servo's on the cyclic. (6v)
And the bec output of my gaui esc is 6v 4a.
The servo speed according the specs is 0,098/60degrees on 6v.

Can it be something in de MSH brain of is it just the limit of the speed from the servo

Like i said, i've no expo's in de MSH brain on the pitch. All 0

Edit:

okey after a little bit of searching around if found out that.

1. Give the pitch expo a negative value

2. Or you can use feed-forward gain, but than you make the whole steering more or less aggressiv?

How much pitch are you running?
If you run about 12 degrees, you should be fine.

my pitch is 12 degrees positive and negative. And 8 degrees on cyclic.
Just normal settings.

But like i said i've the feeling that de heli is responding not so directly on the pitch as i want.

Example, by pitch pumps i've to give much stick input before the heli is responding, i want it more directly.

I prefer to increase over all pitch rather than add expo or in this case negative expo. More over all pitch will increase the amount of pitch added around center and maintain the linear feel of the collective.

so you suggest to make the pitch as example 14 degrees in stead of 12 ?

I thougt that 12 degrees was more or less the maximum as pitch range

Kick up the HS a few 100 rpm
Also learning tictocs
Until I can manage them more smoothly I always switch too idle up 2 for tictocs at least 2500 range for 520 mm blades.

The extra bite helps me to recover if I mess up a tictocs on 2300 the are a lot more rainbow or sink when I miss a beat.

Mind you they are a lot easier on my governored heli for obvious reasons

I'm allready running on high headspeed.

I'm using a 10t pinion and 95% throttle. ( idle 2 )
Idle 1 is 85%

I want also the stretch kit for my atom, but my supplier does'nt havent it on stock so i have to order it from germany.

Today i was playing with the settings in my simulator and found just the feeling on the pitch what i was looking for. So i hope i can get it also with flying in reality.

Possible options:

1. decrease pitch expo in msh brain from 0 to example 20
2. increase pitch range from -12 / 0 / 12 to 14 / 0 / +14

The feeling i want with the pitch is not only for tic tocs but for everything.
Just want a faster respons of the heli when i move my pitch on my transmitter.

difficult to explain, but i think with a negative expo i should find that feeling.
Will try it tomorrow.

12° cyclic is the high side but 14° collective pitch isn't that high. I ran 16 on my speed machine.

Get a better ESC, bro. Or better motor.
Also try to change to wider and lighter blades.

ESC, Gov, and Blades play a HUGE role here....

no matter what you set your pitch to, if your motor or ESC isnt up to the task, it wont happen the way you want it to...

I'm happy now guys,

yesterday i've made my remaiden with the stretch kit for the atom 500.
It's flying great with this kit.

Also the pitch respons is great now.

My pitch is now 13 degrees positive and negative, and 8 for the elevator / aileron.
