Default When the parts supply dries up

well, we pretty much know that the parts supply on this bird will dry up sooner or later, So, I was thinking that we should make a collective data base of "other brand" parts (gasp!) that are direct fit or can be adapted to work with our beloved fusions. maybe we can even get this sticky'd so it can be used as a reference to stay in the air.

I've been on KDE's website and noticed that all the head parts they have listed for the fusion are the same part numbers for the align 550/600 series, so it stands to reason that align and compatible head parts will solve this issue.

If anyone who has other birds can compare parts I'll update this post as the info comes in.

personally I'm looking for a little help matching up/adapting the following parts:

--tail booms --gaui x7 cut to length and x5 for 550-- tt rubber mod needed credit-Dmaxison
--main gears
--auto rotation gear
--front tt counter gear
--tail tt gears --align tail gears direct fit___credit Ronald123456789
-torque tubes/tips
--assorted tail parts
--a cheap source for carbon fiber sheets to possibly cut frame pieces out of
--anything else I didn't think of.
--FUSONO frames currently in production.__ thanks to Sansone

I know this may seem a tad premature, but I'm hoping to get a good list going to save for the future from things that we're pretty sure will be around when we need them.

Good idea, I believe Gaui's x7 tailboom will work after cutting to length.

They do fit. The ID is smaller so it can be tough to get the tt bearing rubbers down the boom. May be able to use x7 rubbers.

Not sure on exact length, but an x5 tt version or belt version boom will likely work for the fusion 550 guys. I will try to measure some.

Yes there was. Not sure on the brands but he did the mod to use a mod1 maingear instead of the stock mod0.8. I believe he may have changed the owb assembly. It looked like a lot of work.

ok, obviously i feel that the work would be worthwhile if it was necesary...

buuuut (and i hate to keep going align) given that the head parts are useable, that would mean that the mainshafts are the same diameter... does anyone have a trex600 that they could compare the maingears and counter gears with the owb assembly? would that work?

Main shaft on the trex 600DFC is very different as the is no bottom bearing block under the main gear. ID in that area is smaller. Remember for head parts you do not have to go Align. Compass and RJX heads have been proved to be a drop in fit too.

Here is the link to the Mod1 maingear mod.

Guai X5 Tail boom belt version should be good to go for the 550 guys.

The boom is 71mm shorter. Considering the Fusion can run up to 640mm, then there should be lots of clearance. You would also need a TT and Tail Pitch rod. TT can be one of many I am sure cut down and redrill the hols for the splines. Hard part there is the ID of the TT. Pitch Rod can be a custom cut CF one or an old Thunder Tiger 50 one that has the two parts and a coupler. Actually all you need is the coupler. Not sure if you can buy it seperately.

I hope that AleeS announces a new 600 size heli with Fusion 50 parts compatibility. That would be too sweet imo.

They do not fit. Maybe with some serious modification but I don't know.

What would be an alternative part to use for the landing gear set for the Fusion 50? T-Rex 600 Pro? Looks like parts are no longer available, especially in South Africa. Thanks guys

I keep the standard Align 700 gear on the shelf. It is approximately the same size as the one found on the Outrage Fusion50, Velocity 50 and Velocity 90. The only thing required is to drill the mounting holes to match your machine.

The Rush 750 landing gears may be another option for that original Outrage look. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

Default T-REX 600 tail blade grip assembly

Here is the T-REX 600 tail blade grip assembly on my Fusion 50. It is a little longer, but I did not notice any performance difference when switching between oem for my mild 3D style of flying.
