Default icharger 206b "main port?" meaning?

The charger has been working fine until yesterday. I pulled in a 6S 3300mAh battery to the charger port before I turned on the charger. When it started it displayed "main port?" and wouldn't balance charge it. I tried charging "auto" but it did a battery check and reported Low voltage and would go no farther.

Any ideas?

tnx

jim

When I bought my icharger 308, I had a Nimh pack plugged in before I turned it on, it fried it. I see others have said similar things. They are awfully touchey for the price. Had to have it replaced. Worse part was, they gave me a refurbished one. Mine wasn't but a couple of months old. Check another pack to see if it still works right. If not, send it back for repair. Best of luck.

I still don't know what it means, but do have the following data:
Returned it to ProgressiveRC (great support!), they said the charger worked correctly. After they returned it, I tried charging directly from the charger (vs thru the parallel board), worked correctly, although the "Main Port?" message still appeared. (I *thought* I'd tried that prior to returning it). Tried charging thru the parallel board, no joy. The PB fuse is fine, so there's something funky with the board. I'll troubleshoot as time permits.

Maybe this will help someone else.

BTW, like dschertz I plugged in my 6S LiPo before turning it on, was afraid that I'd fried it. It would nice if the manual said DON'T DO that instead of making it a suggestion-like comment.

Maybe measure the impedance across a set of the PB board connectors and see what it reads.
