Default Vortex V3.00 settings

I Like to create a thread, which I just did too see your guys settings with the new V3.00 I already saw a lot of guys from the compass team flying with it.

I will update mine bird soon and I hope v3 can resolve issues I have with my 6HVU which it probably can

All I did was select my model size from the Heli Wizard, select 3D from the Style Wizard, and chose my head type in the Rotor menu. Only things I adjusted after that were Tail gain, Mid-Agility (increased it by 5%), and D Elevator (increased it to 80). That was it.

Though I did try the BertK Style setting. While very "quick and agile" I'll describe it, I had to back off an use the 3D Style instead.

I dont use the gov right?

I saw in the menu it was enabled by default, i disabled it. I selected esc for throttle type.

Now if it is working, i have a hyperion and eagletree rpm sensor. Which ever one will work.

No E-gov yet.

You can choose ESC or Analog for the servo type if you're running a brushless ESC. Or the KBUG option for Kosmik ESCs if you need to.

Check out the new User Guide.

Are we talking about the same thing? In Setup::Throttle::Governor Type the governor defaults to Inhibit. When it is inhibited it does not matter what the individual flight modes are as the entire governor function is disabled.

A couple of questions for set up menue as instructions are not clear

1. Throttle servo type- do we need to select analog here or esc. In previous versions we were advised to select analog

2. Heli wizard- how do you categorize the different size machine by blade size or heli size?

for example for a 450 heli we should select 325+ blade size

for a trex 500 or protos 500 do we select 500+ ? these heli's run 425mm stock blades?

This is the section im talking about. This one was set to on. I had to select off and then i put my rpms in there.

In the setup portion all i did was select esc.

I was talking about the setup governor type option. It is 'Inhibit' which forces the governor off no matter what the individual fligth mode options are.

I'll know how it goes tomorrow, as the updates are all done now. Thanks once again for doing the update video bob. Even though I've done it a few times, I always have to refer to your video, which makes it nice and straight forward.

As you advised Bob, I simply made a spread sheet with all my set-up values, like servo trims, directions, etc, etc, for each sub section, and after the update I just put all those settings and numbers back in, and everything seems to be spot on.

My settings for my 550 are 550+ in the heli wizard, and 3D for style, with my normal previous tail gain. No other changes so far as I have not flown it. Perhaps I won't need any.

If someone could just remind me where I put in the rough headspeed for vibration management. Is it in the section shown above in fusionsx00's picture. That's where I have put in 2400 for all four flight modes. I know it will be in the manual somewhere, but so far I'm hoping I won't have to read it, lol.

Cheers

Sutty
